Silver-plated and Screwed

This is the metal plate, about 3.5 inches long, that was removed from the under side of my ulna and the 8 screws that locked it into place.
Man, after 10 months inside my arm, it's good to have that thing out of me.

Before the surgery to have it removed, I said to my doctor, "I know this is going to sound weird, but when you remove the plate and screws, can I keep them? You know, for posterity. Maybe put them on my fridge, make a necklace out of them...."

My doc didn't look surprised or appalled at all and replied that it would be no problem. Perhaps me asking to keep the end of my radius bone, which was sawed off in my second surgery, had set a precedent for the kind of patient I was so that asking to keep my plate and screws was comparably "normal."

(Coincidentally, they didn't let me keep the end of my radius bone, unfortunately. Being human tissue, it was considered a bio-hazard or some such thing. It's just kind of weird to think that the end of my bone was just "thrown away" in a garbage can of sorts.)

I haven't decided yet what to make of the above hardware. I'm taking suggestions, however.

So far, the options on the table are:

-a bad-ass looking choker necklace (you know, all goth and stuff)
-a broach
-a crown ("I'm a princess!" a reference that perhaps only Curt will appreciate)
-a magnet for my fridge

Something needs to be done with it... Feel free to comment with any ideas.
